Large Stand-Up Workstation for Assembly
Creform designed this large stand-up workstation for a truck parts supplier. Measuring 16 feet long, 6 feet tall and 3 feet deep, the workstation is set up in a line to support one-piece-flow assembly. The linear configuration also makes it possible to add or remove workers, depending on manufacturing requirements.
It features a plastic work surface across the front, while above the work surface are three flow levels with angled presentation for totes. The flow lanes provide first-in-first-off (FIFO) parts handling, while the secondary angle enhances visibility in the totes and physical access to the parts. The angled presentation keeps loose parts in the totes near the front of the box for easy picking and handling.
The length, width and height of the workstation can be customized. It is built with blue colored, plastic-coated 28-millimeter steel pipe and clamped together with metal joints. It is available as an assembled structure or kit with pre-cut pipes for quick on-site assembly.
The modular design allows manufacturers to add only the accessories needed and configure the station that works best today, and then change it tomorrow as needs change.
Accessories include an overhead light, computer screen, shelves, additional flow lanes, drawers, information sheet holders, label holders, tool storage, and hooks to hang tools and supplies. All Creform workstations can be configured with static-dissipative components when sensitive electronics need to be protected.

Safety Glasses Have Anti-Fog Protection
Fogging lenses can strike in both indoor and outdoor working conditions. Spectrum safety glasses have options to fight fog no matter where work has to get done. This powerful ANSI Z87.1+ eye protection weighs less than 1 ounce, and the rimless lenses are manufactured with exclusive BK-Anti-FOG protection. Spectrum pops with color, too, as each lens color in the family sports a unique, corresponding temple color.
Temperature changes, humidity, sweat, rain, and moisture all contribute to lens fog. Spectrum Clear Lens allows maximum light transmission, indoors or out, without changing or distorting vision or colors. Spectrum Smoke Lens provides all-over tint for normal outdoor conditions (18 percent of light passes through). Amber, blue, and mirrored lenses are also available.
BK-Anti-FOG lens protection lasts 15 times longer than EN 166/168 standards. The special coating is permanently bonded directly onto the lens surface and will not wear off or wash off. Glasses retain fog-fighting properties for a longer duration with no reapplying and no maintenance needed.
Bowed, super-flex temples touch the wearer only behind the ears, eliminating all pressure points while delivering the optimal fit. The ratcheting flexible temples and second-generation PivotEase nose piece offer a true face-hugging design that inspires compliance. Lightweight Torque Tube Made With Carbon Fiber
Mounted to overhead bridge cranes, torque tubes absorb the torque reaction from fastening tools. However, conventional tubes made from steel shafts are heavy, leading to operator fatigue, discomfort and decreased productivity.
This new torque tube is made of strong, lightweight carbon fiber. It absorbs both vertical and horizontal torque forces. The tube weighs one-third less than comparable steel models.
The arm passed durability tests involving 100,000 vertical torque cycles, 50,000 horizontal torque cycles, and 50,000 cycles with a 30-pound offset load. For the max load test, the applied load of a torque tool was continuously increased until the point of failure, providing valuable insights into the torque tube’s true maximum capacity.
The carbon fiber torque tube is ideal for applications requiring less than 200 newton-meters of torque and applications that require torque tools to reach broad areas. Its compatibility with overhead bridge and jib crane systems allows for seamless integration and movement within workcells.
