Device Tests Flow, Tightness
The AF-R221 is optimal for testing discharge flow and tightness. The flow sensor can be selected between laminar flow or mass flow. It features an easy-to-navigate configuration tool and a flow optimizer. The instrument lets engineers transfer data between devices with a built-in transfer tool. The language can be selected from English, Japanese or Mandarin.
The instrument has a waveform measurement screen that allows engineers to monitor flow and test pressure in a way that is simple and visually accessible. For in-depth analysis, it comes equipped with software for X-Chart, X-List and statistics, allowing engineers to see important information directly from the device rather than moving it to a separate device.
When the test pressure fluctuates, the flow at the specified test pressure is displayed on a multipoint optimizer sampling screen.

Leak Tester for Medical Devices
The MED75y instrument is designed for high-speed leak testing of medical devices ranging in volume from several cubic centimeters to several liters. Mass-flow test technology is ideal for cost-effective, high-speed testing. The mass-flow transducer is connected to both the reservoir and the test part. When this circuit is filled with air and isolated from the supply, any leak results in a flow of air from the reservoir to the test part through the transducer. The transducer output provides a direct measurement of leakage. The instrument can detect leaks ranging from 0 to 20 standard cubic centimeters per minute, and it can measure pressure ranging from 0 to 100 psig. The transducer has a repeatability and sensitivity of 0.05 percent F.S.D.
Helium Bombing System
The helium bombing process involves placing test parts in a pressurized chamber, allowing helium to penetrate inside the part. After exposure, the part is placed in a vacuum chamber and tested to detect helium leakage. Controlling parameters such as pressurization time, helium pressure, internal volume, and leak size are critical for test success.
LACO offers a complete line of manual and automated helium bombing systems. Both manual and automated systems are available with Laco’s Titan Versa helium leak detector and leak test chambers.
Manually operated helium bombing systems are equipped with a standard gas charge manifold. The pretested manifold allows complete control of gas for applications including vacuum bombing, sniffing accumulation and calibrated leak standard recharge.
Automated systems feature the Atlas Controller, offering preprogrammed test routines, up to 100 customized test recipes, and data logging.
Custom helium bombing systems can be tailored to meet specific needs that fall outside the standard offerings. These include custom chamber sizes, custom frame or setup design, and multiple bombing chamber setups. LACO also offers custom software sequences or features to automate the system and seamlessly integrate with current software.

Vacuum Pump
With pumping speeds ranging from 80 to 800 liters per second, the HiCube Neo vacuum pumping station is ideal for demanding high vacuum and ultra-high vacuum applications. The station can be prepared for wide-ranging applications with an array of different backing pumps, such as diaphragm, rotary vane, scroll and multi-stage Roots pumps. Typical uses range from analyzing gases and calibrating vacuum gauges to pumping down cryostats and use in vacuum furnaces.
Features include a 7-inch touch screen, remote control via a web server, and detailed data recording. Its open design facilitates maintenance and allows easier access to the components. The backing pump’s energy-efficient standby mode also reduces energy use and cuts operating costs.
